Smaller jobs are charged by the hour at the rates below. Renovations and larger jobs get a free survey and a fixed written quote.

One-hour minimum
Every visit is charged at least the first-hour rate. After the first hour, time is charged in 30-minute steps.
Materials
Parts and materials we supply are charged with a handling and sourcing fee, and itemised on your invoice.
Parking and London charges
Rates don't include parking where there's no free parking, the Congestion Charge or ULEZ. Where they apply, they're itemised on your invoice.
Waste
Removing heavy building waste, old fittings and hazardous materials is charged separately and itemised.
Payment
Payment for repairs, handyman work and call-outs is due when the work is finished, by card or bank transfer.
Cancelling
Cancel or move a booked visit up to 24 hours ahead at no charge. Later than that, or if we can't get in at the agreed time, we charge one hour at the standard rate (plus any parking costs if we couldn't get in). Cancelling an emergency once we're on the way costs £150 + VAT.
Emergencies
Floods, electrical faults and structural problems don't wait. Our emergency teams cover Central and Greater London and aim to reach you within 30 to 60 minutes of your call, 24 hours a day. Emergency rates apply every night from 22:00 to 08:00 and on bank holidays; outside those hours, urgent jobs are charged at the standard or evening rate.
An emergency visit covers priority dispatch, diagnosis and making the property safe: isolating a leak or containing a hazard. If the permanent repair needs specialist parts we don't carry, we'll arrange to come back and finish it.
Renovations
- Free survey. We visit, survey the property and talk through what you want.
- Fixed, line-by-line quote. Valid for 30 days. Work is booked once you accept it in writing and the deposit has cleared.
- Open-book pricing. Every structural change and finish is itemised, so you can see where the money goes.
- Staged payments. A deposit, then payments tied to stages of the work, for example after the structural phase, after second fix and at handover. Your quote sets out the stages.
- No hidden fees or surprise variations. If you ask for a change once work starts, it's priced and agreed with you in writing before we carry on.
